15 October 2022: Attended the Glen Innes Art Gallery for the opening of the Family Support Service Children's Art Project Show

15 October 2022: Visited the Agricultural Research Station for their 120th Anniversary celebration

14 October 2022: I've had a bit of a break after completing Season 1 but I'll be back into it tomorrow.

2 July 2022: Spent the night at the Chapel Theatre / GI Arts Council Open Mic night. Also produced 3 promo spots. We'll be on-air soon!

1 July 2022: Recorded material at the Friday Piper for Eve's choice and a separate episode on this charming Glen Innes institution.

21 June 2022: Recorded today at the Land of the Beardies History House Museum with Eve Chappell. So many exhibits and so much source material! Eve chose the Friday Piper and historic gramophone recording. 

18 June 2022: First visit to the wonderful Toy Library

17 June 2022: I had an early discussion with Owen from the Chapel Theatre. I'll be at their Open Mic night on July 1.

16 June 2022: I met with Amelia from Joblink Plus today. "Tip of the Iceberg" is a way of thinking about their office on Grey Street near the Town Hall. A staff member who is a didgeridoo maestro, Uncle Mark Atkins, will play the music she has chosen.

8 June 2022: First meeting about my new project today. It will still focus on Glen Innes but it will have a much greater emphasis on ambience and soundscapes; less on voice. 

28 May 2022: I spent some time with Richard at the Makers' Shed. I interviewed him & his jewellery workshop participants. His musical choices were Dead Can Dance & JS Bach. 

25 May 2022: I had a preliminary meeting with Michael & Clare at the Community Centre in the morning. I then recorded the interview with Nancy & the ladies of Wrap with Love knitting group in the afternoon. For music they have chosen Elvis & Ed (Sheeran)

19 May, 2022:  I talked to Kim & Kyah at the TAFE CLC today. There's so much more inside that you can't see from Grey Street. Well worth the visit. Their musical choices are Bon Jovi & The Script. 

1 May, 2022:  I interviewed the Middle Ages Re-enactment Club, NEMAS, up on the hill during the Celtic Festival. Lots of great discussion & a lively background! Their musical choice was club member, Jamie, playing his celtic harp which was gorgeous.

The Glen Innes Toy Library is a collection of 4,000 toys for babies to 12y.o. to borrow & enjoy.
It's also an environmetal solution to unwanted toys ending up in landfill as well as a drop-in hub for new families in town wanting to make connections.

Have you been to the Chapel Theatre? Maybe to see a movie? . . . but there's so much more!
"It's magic, it's marvellous",  according to some of the visitors that I met on the recent Open Mic Live Music performance night. I also recorded lots of great local talent.
